Participating Institutions who would like to use the Online Reliance System to document the use of the SMART IRB Agreement for a study must designate and register a Reliance Point of Contact (POC). The Reliance POC account is separate from the Joinder account used to join SMART IRB.
The SMART IRB POC listed in your Joinder Agreement will automatically receive an invitation to register as the Reliance POC; however, the Reliance POC role can be delegated by contacting help@smartirb.org and providing the first name, last name, and institutional email of the individual.
Note: To adhere to industry best practice for security and to ensure we can communicate effectively with you, we require that each POC user account uses their individual institutional email address. Taking this step will also ensure accountability for any actions associated with your user account. If you would like your regulatory group office, or other individuals, to be included in all automated notifications, contact help@smartirb.org to set the cc: email. The cc: email is defined by the Reliance POC. See Online Reliance System: Roles and Contact Information for more information.
