Participating Institution not listed in the Reliance System

An institution that I want to add as a Site Involved with my study is not listed in the dropdown menu in the Reliance System. What should I do?

First, check the Participating Institutions page of the SMART IRB website to determine whether the institution you would like to add to your request has joined SMART IRB.  If the institution is not listed as a SMART IRB Participating Institution, you may ask the collaborating investigator from that site to contact their IRB or HRPP office to discuss joining SMART IRB.

If the institution is listed as a SMART IRB Participating Institution but is not listed in the dropdown menu of the Reliance System, they may not have created an account in the Reliance System yet, or are choosing to handle their reliance arrangements by some alternate means. You may reach out to the appropriate POC for that institution (see contact information on the Participating Institutions list) to ask them to consider registering to the system so that you may pursue a reliance arrangement with them through the Reliance System.
