The SMART IRB Version 3.0 Reliance Agreement went live to the public on March 17, 2025. Institutions may join submit their institutional Joinder agreements via the SMART IRB Reliance System.
Please note: as of March 17, 2025, Version 3.0 is the only version of the Agreement that may be used for new reliance arrangements.
Arrangements documented under V1.0/V2.0 before the transition continue under those versions; institutions that have not yet joined V3.0 can view their legacy ORS arrangements in the Reliance System (read-only) but cannot start new requests. See “What happens to existing V1.0/V2.0 studies?”
