Permissions

The Reliance System includes roles with standard permissions allowed based on General User and Site Admin designations. We recognize not every institution will utilize the Reliance System in the same way and has therefore empowered Site Admins at institutions to designate certain permissions to individuals and roles based on the needs of their institution. For example, some institutions who prefer to have their IRB/HRPP handle all aspects of reliance requests may opt to disable some or all abilities for their study teams (general users) to create reliance requests.

Access to the permissions page is limited to Site Admins. If you are a general user and would like to know what permissions are currently designated, please contact a Site Admin at your institution. If you are a Site Admin, you can find permissions by navigating to the ‘User Dashboard’ on the left-hand side of the Global landing page. Upon clicking on this, you may see all individuals associated with your institution. By clicking the ‘expand’ button, you can then view a given individual’s established permissions, and edit them as applicable.
