Both can be done at any stage, including after reliance has been reached.
Add a site 1. Reliance Dashboard → vertical ellipsis (⋮) on the request → Edit Request. 2. Select Add a new site and complete the site's details: institution (V3.0 signatories only), Site Investigator, activities and populations, and personnel. 3. Save. If the request is already past Under Review, saving notifies the new site's Site Admins to record their reliance decision; the Reviewing IRB then confirms and a determination letter is issued for that site. Until then, the site's own Site Admins and listed personnel can review and correct its details.
Add, edit, or remove personnel (including the Site Investigator) 1. Reliance Dashboard → ⋮ → Edit Request. 2. Site Details → select the site. 3. Select Add Personnel, or the edit/remove option next to an existing person. 4. Enter or update the person's role, email, and other details, then save.
Listed personnel can view the request and its documents in their own dashboard, and can edit their own site's details until that site's determination; personnel at the Overall PI's home institution can also edit study information while the request is Under Review. For view access to work, the email you enter must be the one the person signs in with. Every site must keep a designated Site Investigator, and the Overall PI cannot be changed yet.
When the Site Investigator changes, the determination PDF on the request updates automatically and does not need to be countersigned; the Agreement does not require re-executing the arrangement. If your institution's policy requires an arrangement naming the current investigator, download the updated PDF from the request.
Listing someone in the Reliance System does not replace the local and Reviewing IRB processes for personnel changes — see Amendments and personnel changes.
